After 40+ years of service most original tach boards are typically showing their age. Years of use (or in some cases non-use) have worn out/damaged components such as capacitors, transistors and diodes. Some of the circuit boards commonly have spider cracks and lifted copper traces as the old pressed paper resin (phenolic) circuit board material degrades over time.

Our new boards install and function exactly as their original counterparts. Each board is made of only NEW COMPONENTS. The main circuit board is made of fibreglass and all copper circuit traces are nickel plated to eliminate corrosion (intermittent) problems over time. Many of the components have been upgraded to higher voltage capabilities and tighter electrical tolerances. What this means to you is greater long term reliability! Installation of this product if the tach is out of the car typically takes 20 minutes or less and only requires basic hand tools and a soldering iron.

DOES YOUR CAR USE A NON-MOPAR MSD-STYLE IGNITION? If this is the case just let us know as we have a Mr. Heaterbox exclusive modification on your new board that we will perform at no extra charge that will allow you to use your factory tach with your MSD performance ignition system. No special tach adapters or devices are needed, just hook your factory tach to the MSD tach output and you are good to go! It can’t get much simpler than that. No more tach hassles or compromises when using MSDs.

Each Tach board is made by us in Canada, this is not some cheap foreign knock off and uses only industry quality NEW components. We are gauge and instrument restoration company and use these in our own restorations but by request we have decided to make this product available for anyone to purchase.

Every board is tested on a real tachometer with a genuine MOPAR ignition system (or MSD setup) and is calibrated before shipment to our reference tach. This should make for an easy installation and setup requiring minimal fine tuning of the calibration of your unit once installed.
